Room service or kitchen units for holidays - your choice

When booking the annual holidays for you and the family there are many factors to consider. When travelling with children one of the biggest problems can be arranging meals for the whole family and this will be an important consideration as to the kind of accommodation that you choose. Children can have big appetites and need several meals throughout the day and, although many bed and breakfast hotels are only too happy to accommodate families, most of the family meals will have to be taken out doors. The answer for most people is to rent a villa style house for a couple of weeks with most of the conveniences of the home. Having your own kitchen may mean more work instead of relaxing but the kitchen units can be stocked relatively cheaply compared to dining out several times per day.

Whenever they feel hungry they can find something for themselves in the cabinets and cupboards or use the kitchen to make themselves a crisp sandwich or something. This can be a great convenience for all of the family and will work out to be far more economical over the course of the stay. The kitchen will also allow you to try out local ingredients and recipes from the area you are visiting and prepare some local food. Of course a reasonable hotel with room service facilities would make life much easier for all, but this doesn’t come cheap and only insulates you from the place you wanted to come to.
